What is your new title? Vice president, client development, with Bloomington-based Experienced Resources LLC, an executive talent management firm that provides experienced executives for projects and interim assignments in health care.
Describe your responsibilities. Identifying potential clients, telling them our story, helping them diagnose issues and assisting in placing the best people to help them.
What is your educational background? A bachelor's in social studies, a master's in counseling and education and a master's in health care administration.
My career has taught me to value ... the patients, then doctors, nurses, therapists, housekeepers, engineers, bookkeepers, coders, managers, leaders and all the others involved in delivering care.
My new job gives me an opportunity: I've always enjoyed healing — not clinical but, rather, organizational.
What is your favorite part of the day? Morning. My friends from college would be roaring now, but I've come to enjoy how nature wakes up and also the promise and hope of a new day.
If life were a dance, I'd be doing ... the Austrian Lindler. It's graceful, requires great teamwork and coordination with your partner, and it's when Maria and the Captain fell in love in "The Sound of Music."
What advice would you give to someone interested in entering this field? Try it out first — shadow people, find a mentor, get an undergraduate degree.
When I take time off, I ... bike, golf, water ski, see the grandkids, read, snowshoe and watch the Gophers basketball teams (both men and women).
Most people don't know that I love ... to cook. There's just not enough time to make things from scratch.
