Experienced Resources was founded in 2005 by Mary Christensen and Damian Martin. The company is the result of their vision to utilize the wisdom and experience of professionals in the second half of their careers and to create a hybrid staffing firm that combines features from the temporary staffing and consulting models.
Mary Christensen is a human resource (HR) professional recognized for her ability to successfully
match employers and talent within the health care industry and specialty medical practices. She
has held management positions in pediatrics, internal medicine, ophthalmology and OBGYN. Mary
received her formal education in human resource management at Cardinal Stritch University, and
health care management at the University of Central Florida. Mary is a member of the Minnesota
Medical Group Management Association (MMGMA), Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA), Women’s
Health Leadership Trust (TRUST), Human Resource Executive Forum (HREF) and the Society for

Damian Martin is a senior executive with experience in sales and marketing, as well as employee,
project and strategic management. Before founding Experienced Resources, he served as an
assistant vice president and purchasing manager for a regional banking organization, and as a vice
president of sales and marketing in manufacturing. His broad business background provides a solid
foundation for recruiting and matching companies with top-performing executives. Damian has a
master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor’s
degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Damian is a mentor

Jennifer Roettger joined Experienced Resources in 2012 to head its talent management and acquisition efforts. Jennifer spent nine years as a physician recruiter for Allina Hospitals & Clinics Physician Recruitment Services. During this time Jennifer was responsible for the overall recruitment process of hiring and placing physicians at Allina Hospitals and Clinics. Jennifer also spent four years as a human resources generalist and interim human resources manager for Allina Hospitals & Clinics at River Falls Area Hospital. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, in River Falls, Wisconsin. Mary Ellen Wells, FACHE
As vice president, client and business development for Experienced Resources, Mary Ellen utilizes her experience to understand clients’ needs and match them with the appropriate leadership talent. She is an accomplished speaker with presentations related to strategy, trends in health care, and change leadership. Mary Ellen’s career has spanned 29 years in the Minnesota health care industry. She held several executive roles within Allina Health System including CEO of Hutchinson Area Health Care, vice president of the Minneapolis Heart Institute and Allina’s Cardiovascular Services, president of Buffalo Hospital, and interim president of three regional hospitals. Mary Ellen also served on the senior leadership team of the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics. Mary Ellen is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She earned a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts degree in Education and Counseling from the University of Michigan. Read more...
